NORTH CARTONA

GEORGRA TOWN
Tucked away in the furthest, lushest part of the Cartona Region, Geogra Town can't boast much outside of its breathtaking view of the surrounding forest, as well being the home to the region professor. Its from here that Professor Hazel sends trainers all over the world their first Pokemon via the personal computer system, although most would be wise to pay him a visit when struggling with something along their journey.

HUYUK FOREST
Surrounding Geogra like a protective wall, the Huyuk Forest is a dense patch of woods that has as many acres as it does Pokemon stored inside it. Even the most experienced of explorers can find themselves lost in the twisting paths and tightly packed greenery, although its rumored that the wild Pokemon will guide the way out so long as the explorer in question accepts the aid.

NAUTIC CITY
Nautic City, despite finding its roots in protecting its neighboring forest, has been a city obsessed with trends and fashions for as long as anyone living on its streets can remember. It's prizes are the many, many tourist attractions is holds, alongside the title of being the home of the region's contests. The largest contest hall, in fact, resides here, and ribbons won inside are thought to be especially hard earned.

BEGO FIELDS
Trees and city lights dissipate into a scenic, calm landscape of nothing but grass and wind: the Bego Fields. Stretching on for miles and miles, the dry area is home to many swift legged Pokemon, and finds itself the most frequented spot for trainers hoping to work on their own party's speed and endurance. The path is straight forward, and its difficult to get lost, but those who stray from it are unlikely to run into any company, if only because of how large the plains are.

PICTORI CITY
If Nautic City is loud, Pictori City is little more than a whisper on the wind. Moderate in everything from the stones that make its pathways to the quiet company that make up its residency, visitors are more likely to pay it a visit for a breath of fresh air rather than sight seeing or entertaining themselves. It does, however, house the normal-type gym leader, so trainers would be wise to make note of it in their travels.

VALCAMON SPRINGS
Despite being unassuming on the surface, Pictori does house its very own marvel, and what a marvel the Valcamon Springs are. Hot springs interrupt miles of grassland, warm to the touch and a favorite spot for many mild fire-type Pokemon. Those who don't mind searching a bit are treated to a wonderful place to wind down, as well as some of the most beautiful natural sights the region has to offer.

ANFORM CITY
A large city with a small town sort of feeling to it, despite the sheer number of people living within its boundaries, almost everyone in Anform City knows a great deal about everyone else, and strangers who pass through on their way to get their second gym badge from the fairy-type leader are often subject to a great deal of well-intended questioning. It's a rather natural city, as well, full of trees and other greens, and the residents are especially mindful of the Pocket Monsters that also call it home.

CONTOUR TOWN
Once known for its Eco-friendly ways, more lush than any other populated area in the region, cycles of droughts and flooding from the nearby river have down their part to wilt and wash away the plant life in Contour Town. Most people left, realizing that what had brought them there was not coming back any time soon, but the loyal remain as bustling as ever. Pay a visit if you need to challenge the grass-type gym leader.

MINOAN FALLS
Minoan Falls, as the name would imply, is a massive waterfall cascading over one of the many cliff sides cutting off the lowlands from the mountains beyond. The river it feeds from and flows into has a bad tenancy to flood and retreat, never wanting to find a happy middle, but an abundance of water-type Pokemon call this home, regardless.

DYMAX TOWN
Treks up the steep slopes beyond the falls lead most people straight to Dymax Town, a place situated right on the cliffs and only housing the most daring of people. Being on a face that could crumble at seemingly any moment doesn't necessarily attract people, and as such, the population has remained rather low. It's a frequent stop if only because of its location next to the only path up to or from the mountains and the flying-type gym leader located here.

SOUTH CARTONA

MT. KASSITE
A constant shadow across all of the Cartona Region, Mt. Kassite boasts the highest elevation on the landmass and proves to be one of the hardest obstacles to pass through on journeys. Climbing over it is more trouble than its worth, but the pathways cut out from its rocky face centuries ago were made to confuse and kill. A new straight fire pathway through is almost at completion, but until it is, ones best bet is to fly over, dig through, or simply move through the shorter mountains in the range.

BEDOLINA CAVERNS
The Bedolina Caverns provide the easiest passage through the mountains should a traveler not be able to fly over the higher elevations. It, itself, is no simple stroll, but the deep tunnels are much easy to navigate than the labyrinths carved into the neighboring mountain. At the very least, rare stones and mystifying underground lakes can be found inside; just make sure to pack a sweater to withstand the colder temperatures found below.

ESTETE CITY
Estete City serves as the “door” in or out of the caverns, using its location right next to the massive hole connecting above ground to the underground as a means to gain tourists. People coming from the East are treated to tours hosted by its residents, while people arriving through the caverns from the west are treated to civilization, and probably a glass of water. The rock-type gym leader, conveniently, is also located here.

ANAXIMANDER
Anaximander is one of Cartona's few great mysteries, as well as being the most difficult terrain to cross. Believed to once be an ancient city sprawling across a great many miles – covering, in fact, more space than any other location in the region – some terrible disaster not only left it in ruins, but has made the land virtually impossible to use for any purpose. Pokemon are scarce here, only the strongest managing to survive, and violent storms and ward away the weak of heart.

HEMATIC CITY
Hematic City, for those who cannot simply fly over the ruins to its West, is most certainly a sight for sore eyes. Although, truly, even those who have not transversed such perilous lands can claim it as such. It finds its beauty not in nature, but in modern design, buildings as peculiar as they are marvelous lining every street and the most advanced technology starting here. Paired with the fact that it houses the fire-type gym leader, it's almost easy to forget the unbearable heat.

BEHAIM DESERT
Its neighboring city is nothing more then a breath of fresh air, one violent landscape traded for another as travelers move from ruins to deserts. Had Anaximander not taken up so much space, perhaps Behaim would claim the title as the largest obstacle in the region. Ground, steel, rock, and fire-type Pokemon roam in an abundance, and water-types are best kept housed in their balls for this agonizing trip.

TOBOG TOWN
Humidity finally begins to pick up in the areas surrounding the small Tobog Town, but once inside the town in question, visitors may be missing the dry air of the desert. Near constant rain plagues the area, although centuries without plant life have created more of a bog than a rainforest in the area. The quaint town is as quiet as its neighboring desert, and perhaps the only point of interest outside its precipitation is the poison-type gym leader located here.

TABULA BOG
As mentioned before, recent, seemingly never-ending rain has created a great deal more mud than plant life, and while there are a great many trees to be found in the Tabula Bog, there's even more wet dirt to grab at and cling to adventurers. Proper boots are recommended when passing through on the way to the sea, if only so one does not find themselves caught chin-deep in the mucky substance.

STRAIT OF ROGERIANA
Where one sea meets another: The Strait of Rogeriana serves as the last landmark for many people's journeys and has much more to offer than its neighboring bog or the more distant desert. Beautiful landscapes paired with mellow Pokemon make for a nice breather from the treacherous lands recently crossed, and the outline of the final city in the distance can have anyone breathing a sigh of relief.

CARTONA CITY
Cartona City is certainly the pride of the region – it wouldn't be named after it if it wasn't! Located on the thin strip of land between neighboring seas, as well as sitting on the boarder between Cartona and its sister region, it ferries people out to the Mundi Islands quite frequently, and boasts a great deal of culture, the likes of which are hard to find in any other city in the region. Most importantly, however, is the fact that it houses the eighth and final gym leader: the water-type.

NO BRAVE NEW WORLD, NO BRAVE NEW WORLD
MUNDI ISLANDS

MAPPAE
Mappae, the first and smallest of the Mundi Islands, is little more than a rock formation jutting out from the sea surrounding it. Caves digging into the rock face make for an ideal training spot, what with its high leveled Pocket Monster and dangerous terrain, but even better than that is it for mining rare materials found nowhere else. Travellers, too, are welcome to dig here for anything from evolutionary stones to Pokemon fossils.

TOPONYM
Toponym is the second and largest of the Mundi islands, housing rare Pokemon that are no longer found on the main land. Talented breeders from all around the world have brought dying species back to life here, and the island now serves to be as much of a Safari Zone as a place for aspiring Pokemon breeders to fine tune their craft – or, at the very least, make off with a free egg.

ANATOLIA
Anatolia serves as the third of the Mundi Islands, as well as the base of operations for the Pokemon rangers. While most rangers can be found wandering on the mainland, seeing as most of the people and Pokemon they work to protect are located there, the head honchos of the operation have turned one of the nearby islands into one massive headquarters, from where they watch over all of the neighboring landmass.

OSTHENES
Osthenes is as much of a vacation spot as it is the fourth Mundi island; with wonderful views and a shopping market that far exceeds any others offered on the islands, Cartona itself, and perhaps the rest of the world, there's no wonder why it attracts people from all around the globe. Coordinators like to pay a visit here to trade tips and purchase goods to aid in contests that can be found nowhere else.

PTOLEMY
Ptolemy, the fifth and final of the islands, is the furthest from the mainland, but is perhaps the best known of the rest of the chain. This is because its sandy shores house the largest stadium in all of the region, having held world-wide competitions for as long as it has been around. Trainers, coordinators, breeders, rangers, pokeathletes, and researchers alike dream of the day they will be able to show off their talents in the competitions held here.
